Your feelings are normal...

Feelings are real
Will lead you to truth

Chased by a bear? Scared
Lost something precious? Grief
Hit by sudden changes? Surprised/uncertain
Future plans cancelled? Disappointed/grey/nothing to look forward to
Security taken away? Insecure
Isolated? Lonely
New, unexpected responsibilities? Overwhelmed
Unable to fix important problems? Difficulty sleeping/preoccupied/edgy
Living in a pandemic? All of the above

What you are feeling is normal, and totally understandable, given the unprecedented circumstances. Having faith does not negate emotion. Don’t carry shame for what you think a “stronger person,” or “better Christian” SHOULD be feeling. All emotions are part of our hearts: *feel* them. Let them speak during this difficult time. Their voices will lead you through this difficult time. As you do, you will learn (as David did) how to “love the Lord with all your heart” ...and not just your mind.
